Projects > Educating Without Borders
The Empathy Project is committed to defending and promoting quality education as a fundamental human right applicable to all. We believe education to be the driving force in the transformation and development of individuals and their communities. Education is instrumental in the development of a fair, non-discriminatory society which offers opportunites to all people.
In February 2009, we began working with The Omprakash Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to be an educational resource for the world by leading people out into a community through which diverse local needs and assets can be expressed and shared on a global scale.
In March 2009, we partnered with Grupo Yanapaq Maki Kuna/Helping Hands based in Cusco~Peru. Their mission is to help children and single mothers who are in a state of poverty, abandonment, physical and emotional violence, malnutrition, and discrimination. Currently, we are sponsoring a school expansion construction project that will serve an additional 130 students in the San Sebastian Region.
