The World Becomes What You Teach

Education may well be the most revolutionary and effective effort that we as a society can undertake to create a peaceful and just world. Yet for millions of children and youth in developing countries, education is beyond reach. The Empathy Project reaches the world’s most marginalized children — those who urgently need education to survive and thrive throughout the world.

In partnership with governments, nongovernmental organizations, and local communities, The Empathy Project brings quality education to the most vulnerable children by building schools and sponsoring educational programs.

In 2007, about 26% of children in Latin America did not attend school due to economic reasons. In many cases, their families did not have the resources to pay the registration fees, uniforms and school supplies. In other cases, parents believed an education for their child was not worth the investment.

Our own educational programs, such as the Healing Species and Humane Education projects, have reached marginalized children; including girls, ethnic minorities, and children affected by HIV/AIDS, and other catastrophes—from early childhood through young adulthood.

The Empathy Project is helping create a humane and sustainable peaceful world for all people, animals and the planet.

Education must be inclusive and accessible to all. It should not discriminate on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, language, religion, opinion, disability, or social and economic status.

The Empathy Project works to make education accessible for all, as well as to ensure full retention and completion, while ensuring a brighter future for all, free from want and from fear.

We are educating for greatness.
